During our recent corporate retreat at the Porto Rio Hotel, I found it to be a mix of positives and some areas needing attention. The hotel boasts eight adaptable event rooms, which provided a comfortable setting for our meeting needs. The lighting options, from bright for presentations to ambient for casual discussions, worked well for various scenarios. The staff were helpful and attentive, offering guidance and solutions for our organization's requirements. Connectivity was crucial, and the robust Wi-Fi allowed for seamless remote work, though the surroundings felt somewhat dated-definitely a sign of its past glory. On breaks, we enjoyed the lovely outdoor pool area and the private beach access, which added a refreshing touch to our busy schedule. The greater locale has seen better days and could benefit from revitalization. All in all, while there are areas for improvement, the Porto Rio Hotel serves as a functional base for business travelers looking to mix work with a little relaxation by the Mediterranean.
